About Service RCx+

The Service RCx+ program offers direct implementation of no-cost retrocommissioning and optimization services to eligible commercial customers of SoCalGas.

The Process

Screen:

Service RCx+ works with commercial customers to qualify facilities for program eligibility using energy interval data analytics.

Enroll & Implement:

Customers sign up to receive program services for eligible facilities. Service RCx+ works with customers to identify efficiency improvements and moves to implementation upon customer approval.

Track & Maintain:

Service RCx+ measures savings following implementation by comparing actual energy consumption against a site-specific baseline model over a reporting period. Service RCx+ applies energy data analytics to ensure energy savings persistence, detect unexpected changes, and coordinate with facility personnel to provide additional training and follow-up.

Optional:

If a customer desires to consider capital- intensive facility improvement measures, Service RCx+ can provide additional services* tailored to align with customer objectives that help identify, develop, deliver, and finance additional opportunities that could improve facility performance and reduce energy consumption.

* Services may require customer investment/ co-payment, the terms of which are subject to mutual agreement between customer and Veolia.

Eligibility Requirements:

Commercial SoCalGas customers who seek to improve facility operation through Service RCx+ must:

Pay the Public Purpose Program (PPP) surcharge on their natural gas bill
Interact and share knowledge about facility system operation, requirements, and performance
Agree upon viable improvements
Coordinate and allow implementation of improvements
Maintain improvements upon implementation
Have an active SoCalGas account

The Service RCx+ Program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission, through a contract awarded to Veolia. Program funds, including any funds utilized for rebates or incentives, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until such funds are no longer available. This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice. Customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional goods or services offered by Veolia or any other third party. The selection, purchase, and ownership of goods and/or services are the sole responsibility of customer. SoCalGas makes no warranty, whether express or implied, including the warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, of goods or services selected by customer.
